Norsk Hydro Troll Olje

Discovered in 1979, the Troll offshore development is one of the world's largest offshore gas discoveries, with an estimated production life in excess of 50 years.

In 1996, Wellstream was awarded a contract in excess of $250m to supply a flexible flowline/riser solution as part of the exploitation of the highly fragmented Troll oil reserves via the Troll C and Troll B semi-sub facilities.  In the ensuing 6 years Wellstream supplied a comprehensive range of large diameter flowline & riser products to support a subsea system that tied clusters of wells back to the FPU's via central manifolds.
Project scope of supply:

    - 220km 8/10-inch production flowlines
    - 17km 10-inch dynamic production risers
    - 2km 15-inch dynamic export risers & jumpers
    - 10km dynamic service umbilicals -
       hydraulic/electric/optics /dosing/methanol
    - 3.5km 4 & 6 hose gas lift umbilicals gas/methanol.
